When TikToker Savanna (@savanna.alley) was a baby, her mom met and married a man. He helped raise Savanna until she was eight years old. One day, he went to the store and never came back. She did not see him again for 21 or 22 years.
Growing up, there were two painted portraits that hung in the dining room of her childhood home. When she became of school age, she would come home from school and sit right in front of the paintings. She spoke to the figures depicted in the portraits as if they were her parents.
“I had some weird connection right around this time, from toddler age to like six or seven years old,” said Savanna.
“Every night before I went to bed, I had these footsteps that would come down the hallway, and the metal doorknob on the old Victorian house would rattle, and this lovely couple would come in, and I was so excited to see them.”
This couple always appeared with friendly smiles, talked to her, and tucked her into bed. By the time she was six or seven, she finally brought it up to her mother and stepfather.
She explained to them that two people came to talk to her every night. Her parents were pretty freaked out by her claim, but they didn’t pay it much mind because she was always saying wild things.
After her mom and stepdad got divorced, her mom took down the portraits and put them in a storage unit. She did not take them out again until Savanna was getting married and moving out of state.
Her mom gave her the key to the storage unit, and she was shocked that her mom had kept the portraits after all this time. Savanna packed them up and continued on with her life.
Later on, she reconnected with her estranged stepfather. At one point, he had found a photo in the attic of his parents, took it downstairs, and had it framed.
One day, Savanna walked in, saw the photo, and blurted out that those were the friends who had tucked her in at night. Her stepdad stated that those people were his dead parents.
“We discovered that day that his parents were the ghosts coming in and tucking me in at night,” said Savanna. “These pictures were heirlooms from his family.”
Not only has Savanna seen her ghostly stepgrandparents, but she is also sometimes possessed by a woman named Gail. She was either a friend of the family, or a cousin, or an aunt.
She wore too much jewelry and had a drinking problem. She fell down the stairs and died. Whenever Savanna drinks certain alcoholic drinks, Gail comes out through her.
