Back in 2019, TikToker Josh (@oyasumisushi) did real estate photography all over the state of Ohio, but mostly in Cincinnati.
One day, he got a call about a job, and the realtor told him that the daughter of the homeowner who had passed away would let him into the house to take photos because she had the keys.
But when he showed up at the house, he was greeted by a man instead. He was shorter, pudgy, and balding. Josh asked him if he was the husband of the woman who was supposed to let him in. The man explained that he was "a friend of a friend of the daughter whose mom lived in this house."
Josh thought this seemed strange, and the guy was giving him bad vibes, but he did have the keys, so Josh just chalked up the man's behavior to being socially awkward.
"Here's where the red flags start, though," said Josh. "When I started shooting, he kept walking closer and closer to me, following me into every single room in the house."
"I repeatedly had to tell him to give me space so he wouldn't be in the reflections and so he wouldn't bother me. But he wouldn't listen and kept getting closer and closer and closer."
Josh could've just packed up his stuff and left, but he wanted to finish the photo shoot so he could get paid. He rushed through all the photos inside and then announced he was going outside to take pictures of the house.
However, the guy told him that he had forgotten to take pictures of the basement. Josh hadn't known there was a basement, and informed him that he usually only took photos of finished basements.
The guy said that the basement was unfinished, but he would like him to take the photos anyway. He claimed that the friend of a friend had said she wanted photos of the basement.

Josh thought that was odd, but he didn't want to argue with the guy. So, he started to walk down the stairs to the basement. He heard the guy follow directly behind, so he stopped halfway down, turned around, and asked him not to follow. But the man said he wanted to go to the basement as well.
For a few long seconds, they just stood there and stared at each other in the middle of the staircase. Finally, Josh demanded that he move out of the way, so he could go back upstairs, as he no longer felt comfortable going down to the basement.
"He moves, but he doesn't get out of the basement," Josh recalled. "He just slowly pushes himself up against the wall, so I have to walk right next to him to leave."
"So, at this point, I figure this guy's either trying to rob me, kill me, or be romantic with me, and I don't want any three of those things to happen."
Josh quickly pushed past him, not giving him any time to react. He grabbed his gear and immediately walked outside. The man followed him and basically pleaded with him to take a picture of the basement again. When Josh refused, he became angry. He started to shake slightly, his fists balled up, and his brow was sweating.
He went back inside the house, but as Josh was getting ready to leave, he realized that he was missing a large lens cap. He walked up to the house and knocked on the door.
The guy answered right away, and his demeanor was completely changed. He was not angry or frustrated. In fact, he was nicer to Josh than when he first arrived.
He let Josh in to search for his lens cap. Josh was certain he would find it because it was pretty big. He looked in every room, but it was nowhere to be seen. The guy told him that he might've left it in the basement. Josh knew he didn't because he never went down there.
"I didn't say a word to him," Josh declared. "I turned around like I was still looking, walked out the back door, got on my motorcycle, and left.
Afterward, Josh received a call from the realtor, asking why he didn't show up to take pictures of the house. Apparently, the woman had been waiting for him. He explained that a man, the friend of a friend, had let him in.
However, no one knew who this guy was. The homeowner's daughter was really confused. To this day, they never found out who let Josh into the house.
In 2023, a dismembered body was discovered in Cincinnati, and a bunch of people speculated it was a serial killer, but Cincinnati is saying that's not the case. Perhaps the creepy man Josh had met is connected to the body in Cincinnati.
