When TikToker Stacie Leah (@stacieleahvlogs) was a kid, she lived in a haunted house. For as long as she could remember, a lot of creepy things had happened to her while she was living there, but she was never really that scared.

She was not the type of kid who was easily rattled. She loved to tell spooky stories and frighten her friends. She found it to be fun and exciting.

But one night, everything changed. It was just an average night. Her mom had tucked her into bed and had gone to sleep in her own room, which was right next to hers.

Stacie sat up in bed for a bit, staring into space and letting her mind wander, as kids do when they’re wide awake.

Her door was left open, and she had a clear view of the hallway from her bed. She wasn’t paying much attention to the door until she saw something out of the corner of her eye.

A single human finger slowly curled around the door frame and started wiggling around. She called out for her mom, but she didn’t answer, and the finger did not retreat.

As the finger continued wiggling, her fear boiled over, and she screamed loudly. Her mom came running from her room. Stacie was trembling with horror.

She knew the finger couldn’t have belonged to her mom because they didn’t have the kind of relationship where they scared each other in this way. It just wasn’t her mom’s style.

“And, I know it wasn’t her because she had to turn on her light in her room and come running into mine, meaning she couldn’t have been behind that door,” Stacie added.

“She couldn’t be in two places at once.”

Every kid imagines monsters under the bed or in the closet, but very few see a phantom finger casually doing a wiggle from the hallway. That seems way too specific to make up in your head. It would be hard to explain away this one.

Eventually, the hauntings stopped, and Stacie and her mom moved out of the house a year later. For years, Stacie’s fear lingered.

She was paranoid and remained on high alert in the new house because she was afraid that more of the same would happen there, but luckily, no ghosts seemed to have followed her.

It just goes to show that even the bravest kids can meet something that shakes them to their core. Maybe kids often see things that adults can’t.

Whether you’re a believer in the paranormal or a skeptic, her story will make you think twice about leaving your bedroom door open. An old, creaky house is one thing, but a mysterious disembodied finger is quite another.
