In honor of 2025 coming to an end, TikToker Alexis (@apmalexis) is sharing her worst date of the year. She went out with this guy she had known from three years ago in school, and he fell asleep on their date.
He asked her on a date, and at first, she said she wasn’t interested, but she later changed her mind, thinking that people can change a lot over time. Clearly, she should’ve listened to her gut instinct. They met up at a restaurant and ordered some food and two bottles of wine.
“He definitely knows a good amount about me, but he would ask me questions that he already knows the answer to throughout the whole night,” said Alexis.
“This started out from the restaurant. Anything I said, he wasn’t really listening to me that much. He wasn’t giving thorough responses back. It felt almost like a one-sided conversation the whole time.”
Then, they went to a wine bar, where they got another bottle of wine. When it ran out, he asked if she wanted another. He ordered one and attempted to fill up her glass, but he spilled a bunch of the liquid on her.
He moved to sit next to her. There was a TV across from them with a game on, so they chatted and watched that for a bit. But when she looked over at him, he seemed to have dozed off.
She grabbed his arm and shook him awake.
He immediately blurted out that he wasn’t sleeping. So then, they started talking again. Soon enough, his head drooped down, and he could hardly keep his eyes open.
“So, I slide out of the booth, run to the bathroom, and call an Uber,” Alexis recalled. “Someone yells out, your date just fell asleep, and he’s getting kicked out right now.”

Two doormen made him pay for the wine and then pushed him outside. They asked Alexis if she was going with him, and she said no.
They snuck her out a back exit. She took off, got into her Uber, and went home, reflecting on the experience with disbelief. She did not plan on ever speaking to him again.
The next morning, he texted her, thanking her for such a great time. She replied that she was having a good time until he fell asleep on her mid-sentence.
He simply said that he had had too much wine and should’ve stopped drinking at the restaurant. No shame. No apology for his actions.
He tried to call her, but, of course, she did not pick up. Later that night, he texted her. She did not respond. She ended up going out that night and running into his friends.
Apparently, he had told his friends that she had slept over.
“You’re going to completely make up these lies that literally didn’t even happen and fall asleep on my date?” Alexis said incredulously.
“No date will ever top how bad that one was, though. So, we can only go up from here.”
