Some people find out their partner is cheating through a suspicious text or a hidden app, but TikToker Candice (@candicecoolwife_mom) found out her fiancé was being unfaithful while getting a makeover at the mall.
She started dating her ex-fiancé when she was 16 years old. They started living together in their own apartment when she was 17, so they were on their own for three years. They were together until she was 21.
They got engaged the day they graduated from high school. At one point, they began planning their wedding. They were looking at venues and putting down deposits.
However, somewhere along the way, things shifted. He got cold feet, and they were basically like awkward roommates for the entire last year of their relationship.
She started to sense some resentment from him. They had long talks about their future, and he expressed some uncertainty about getting married.
She did not want to go back to being a girlfriend after being his fiancée for three years. So, she made a hard choice. She set her ring on the counter and went to stay with her mom for a few nights to let him figure out what he wanted.
She went outside and sat in her car for 30 minutes, quietly hoping that he would chase after her, but he never came out. The next day, she went to a mall for a makeover to cheer herself up.
The girl doing her makeup was super nice and asked about her day. Candice tried not to cry as she explained what had been going on in her life recently.
The makeup artist got really quiet, and then out of nowhere, she asked if Candice lived on Pine Street. Then, she confirmed her name and her fiancé’s name. Candice was really freaked out because she had never met this girl before.

Apparently, she knew Candice’s fiancé because her neighbor Reese took Candice’s fiancé to a family function and introduced him as her boyfriend.
They told everyone that Candice was an evil person and that he and Candice had broken up six months ago, but she wouldn’t let him out of the lease. They accused Candice of financially abusing him.
And that was how Candice found out her fiancé was cheating on her. In that moment, everything clicked. The story explained why he had been acting so strange and distant for so long. She texted her fiancé and told him that she was moving out because she knew everything, and they were over.
“He told me that I should feel okay because they didn’t actually sleep together until I went and stayed at my mom’s house that night,” Candice recalled.
After they broke up, she met her now-husband a month later. Luckily, everything worked out for the best!
