In May 2025, TikToker Krys (@krystle_lyn) got engaged to a man. He went to jail in September and then to rehab the following month. Eventually, they eloped and were married.

Two weeks later, they had a family trip to Disney, but his probation officer told him that he couldn’t go. So, he stayed home with her dogs and went to work every day while she went on the trip with her kids.

He was a car salesman at a local dealership in Lakewood, New York. He was actually decent at his job and regularly came in second place for sales.

The night before he was supposed to pick her and her kids up from the airport, he called her, saying that he had hit a deer and her car was totaled.

He told her what road he was on and sent a picture of the wrecked car. There was a porch in the background of the photo, meaning that he was in someone’s driveway.

She Googled the road he was on and looked at every single house address on that road until she found the matching porch. He was at his ex-girlfriend’s mom’s house.

“Mind you, he told me he was delivering a title for work with the dealership anyway,” said Krys. “It just wasn’t adding up. My gut was telling me it wasn’t true.”

After her car was towed away and he returned home, the cameras got unplugged at around 9:30 p.m. Then, she received a random text message from him at 4:00 a.m., which was unusual because he took sleep medication.

For the next week upon returning home, she pretended like everything was normal. She kept a close eye on his behavior throughout the week.

She watched him constantly text two female coworkers. She noticed text messages being deleted.

Finally, he got tipsy after drinking and forgot to delete some messages. She waited until he fell asleep and then took pictures of the messages on his phone.

One day, he wanted to show her a video on his phone, but he accidentally clicked on the messaging app, and a girl’s name popped up. She didn’t say anything at the time and continued conducting her investigation.

“One of my friends calls the dealership,” said Krys. “We have proof of one having an emotional affair. We suspect the other woman and him had a physical affair.”

“So, we just start asking questions about the one with the emotional affair. Both girls had boyfriends at the same time. I don’t know if they still do.”

The girl having the emotional affair with Krys’s husband reached out to Krys and denied everything, even though she had solid evidence of the affair. The girl threw her friend under the bus and sent screenshots of him having an affair with the other girl, Willow.

Later, Krys’s friend called the dealership again to report him for bribing his female coworkers for sales leads. But the service advisor just shrugged it off.

It turned out he was sleeping with Willow, too. Krys contacted his boss and explained everything. The boss took care of the situation and started firing people left and right.

Krys is in the process of divorcing her husband. Soon, she found out she was pregnant. But two weeks later, she lost the baby. She still has a long way to go on her journey of healing, but she hopes that her story helps instill courage in others who might be going through similar situations.
