One day, someone messaged TikToker @reesey_cupp, asking about the father of her child. When she confirmed that she knew him, they told her that he had passed away.
They sent her a screenshot of one of his family member’s social media pages. There was a post announcing his death.
Of course, she freaked out, not understanding why no one had reached out to her. Soon enough, she would realize the reason why she probably did not receive a call.
She ended up contacting his family and went to the viewing. His mother told her that her son would need to be introduced to all of his siblings.
TikToker @reesey_cupp thought there would just be the three siblings her baby daddy had told her about. But the truth emerged all at once, and it was far more complicated than she ever imagined.
But the next day, at the funeral, she found out that he actually had over 11 kids. He may also have anywhere between 17 and 21 kids. She’s not sure about the exact number.
Conversations were started, and questions circulated through the air. On top of that, he was also legally married and had a long-time girlfriend who lived out of state.
Nobody knew about each other until everyone was under the same roof, staring into his casket. The only person who knew everything was his mother.
In one moment, multiple families who had all been connected by the same man in completely different ways found themselves standing in the same room, processing not only his death, but also the fact that he had been living many lives behind everyone’s backs.

Instead of quiet remembrance, there was a sense of collective shock.
Now, it’s been more than a decade, and @reesey_cupp is still laughing about how ridiculous the situation was. Several TikTok users shared similar stories in the comments section.
Some joked that they all should have flipped his casket over in outrage. In a comment, she did mention that she cussed him out in the casket at the time.
“This is my brother’s future when he dies. He has about 12, maybe more, because I haven’t talked to him in about three years,” commented one user.
“Didn’t know he died, nor had two older daughters, one [who] is 26!!! I thought he only had one other daughter. My son actually has three older sisters. Found out he died because I randomly Googled his name,” shared another.
“This is why I miss working at the cemetery. I was a stranger, and people would dump the lore just to get it out. People are wild,” wrote a third.
“Wow, funerals will have the truth coming out immediately. That man was living more than a double life,” added someone else.
