If your ex’s new partner realizes they can’t trust the person they stole from you, yet they still expect to be your friend, what would you do?
This 28-year-old woman’s 30-year-old baby daddy literally left her in the night so he could move in with his 24-year-old female coworker, whom he definitely cheated on her with beforehand.
Prior to all of this, her baby daddy’s coworker was attempting to be friends with her, but she wasn’t interested in striking up a friendship with her.
Additionally, her baby daddy was encouraging her to befriend his coworker, and she thought it was too strange. She had enough to deal with in her life without having to make friends with her baby daddy’s coworker, whom he had only known for less than a month back then.
“I already knew something like this would happen because of how he was about her. I was extremely upset when this happened. We have a 3-year-old and had been together for 5 years,” she explained.
“But it was toxic, and he was holding us back. I’m doing better now, so it’s best he did this. He still visits our daughter every week. It’s been about 4 months now, and ever since the beginning, they have both been adamant about me accepting them and being a friend to her.”
“I feel like my reasoning is valid that I’m not getting close to someone who quickly swiped my child’s father out of [my] and my daughter’s life like that. And yes, I understand it’s not just her; he walked out on us on his own terms. She’s childless and has her own home. I’ve already heard plenty of stories of all the fun stuff they get to go do, while I stay home and be a parent.”
Yesterday evening, she requested that her baby daddy sleep over at her house so that she could spend the night with her boyfriend.
She even said she was happy to give his coworker-turned-girlfriend evidence that she would not be there, as this was not a plan to win him back.

The next thing she knew, her baby daddy’s girlfriend was texting her and insisting he was not permitted to spend the evening at her home.
“That I’m just hurt and trying to cause issues, and I’m going to try something with him. I genuinely don’t want this man; I want to go see mine,” she added.
“He stole 4k from me before he left, mentally abused me, never got a vehicle, cheated on me, lied to me, and ran out on me for his coworker he barely knew. She has it in her head that she ‘won’ and I’m just ‘upset and bitter,’ when I’ve fully moved on.”
“But she’s absolutely sure that I’m going to [hook up] with my child’s father and cause drama. It takes two to tango, so I’m not sure why she isn’t realizing her insecurity is with not trusting him. Not me. I eventually was able to get her to agree to letting him stay the night with her own father in my house, without me here.”
Anyway, she has told her baby daddy and his girlfriend countless times that she’s willing to be polite to them, but she’s not going to be hanging out with his girlfriend or going on double dates with them.
She’s left wondering if she’s somehow wrong for not wanting to befriend this girl at all, especially considering her baby daddy and his girlfriend try to push a friendship on a weekly basis.
It makes sense for her to want to be civil for the sake of her child, but being friends with the girl her baby daddy cheated on her with is insane.
I think she should just stick to texting her baby daddy about their kid and that’s it. She should not communicate with his girlfriend at all.
