When TikToker Chaz Smith (@chazsmith) was in Atlanta, he had to take an Uber to a video shoot, and it was the wildest car ride of his life.
He had ordered the ride with enough time to get to his destination, but when the car was about two minutes away, it missed a turn on the highway, setting the trip back by about 10 minutes.
The driver finally pulled up in a hatchback. When Chaz opened the car door, he saw a rabbit on the floor of the car. Luckily, he didn’t step on it. He pointed out the rabbit, and the driver just told him to move the animal under the seat.
“I just accepted it, got used to it,” said Chaz. “It was kind of cute, a two-month-old little rabbit. It was like an emotional support animal or something. After I sat down, I noticed [the driver] looked a little different than she did in her picture, but I was like, whatever.”
During the ride, he asked her a few questions about her life to get to know her. Apparently, she had been in Atlanta for four months. She had moved to the city for her significant other, but they broke up right after she moved. They had been together for four years.
She also mentioned that she might drive back to the West Coast if she made enough money. Chaz noticed a small carry-on suitcase, a couple of duffel bags, and a couple of other miscellaneous items in the vehicle.
It certainly didn’t look like much for someone who was getting ready to move their life across the country.
When they arrived at his destination, Chaz wanted to thank the girl by name. So, he pulled up the app, and at that point, he realized that she didn’t look like her profile picture at all.
He thanked the girl anyway, whose name was listed as Tasha. She told him that her name wasn’t Tasha. Tasha was actually in the trunk of the car.

“If only I had the words to describe to you how fast my heart started beating and my mind started racing,” said Chaz. “As I slowly turn my neck and lift my head up over the back of the seat, I see a hand shoot up and wave at me.”
Both women began laughing. Chaz had so many questions, but his brain was having a hard time processing the situation. Why was Tasha in the trunk? Why was she not driving the Uber if it was her account? Were the two of them in a relationship?
He simply hopped out of the car, shut the door, and went inside the building to proceed with his video shoot. It wasn’t until after he got inside that he wondered if Tasha was being held against her will.
