During a girl’s trip, TikToker Nora Crouch (@nclittlemisscutie) had to run away from her Airbnb in the middle of the night because of some dangerous people.

The trip took place in Helen, Georgia, during her senior year of college. Nora and her friends decided to book an Airbnb Mountain House in Cleveland so they could take day trips to Helen.

They arrived at the Airbnb at 4 p.m. on a Thursday. It was located on the edge of a mountain. They noticed a van parked outside of their Airbnb with a middle-aged woman, an older man, and a two-year-old baby.

The girls rolled down their window to ask them where to park. They responded that they were the housekeepers and were just finishing up.

So, the girls got settled in. A couple of hours later, they left to get dinner. When they hiked up the hill to their car, they found the housekeepers still there.

The woman, whose name was Christie, told them again that they were just finishing up. She proceeded to ask if she wanted to send her son and his friends over to hang out with them because they were around the same age.

Of course, they declined the offer. Christie then suggested that the girls stand in line one by one, and she would take a picture of each of them. Nora and her friends quickly got into their car as she followed them with her phone.

“We were like, that was really weird and uncomfortable and sketchy, but maybe she has bad boundaries and you know, we’re dumb college girls,” Nora said.

“We’re 21. We paid a lot of money to be there. We’re like, whatever, we’re going to stay and tough it out.”

They did not see those people the following day. On Saturday, they went to a museum with spooky vibes and a haunted corn maze.

They returned to their Airbnb at 9:30 p.m. and noticed people in the yard. There were flashlight beams moving around, and Christie’s van was parked out front.

Christie came up the mountain with several men they had never seen before. She told the girls that they were just finishing up some yard work.

When they entered their Airbnb, they realized it was unlocked, and the sink was wet. That meant those people knew their code and had been inside their space.

Nora called her parents and gave them their address in case things went downhill. By 10:30 p.m., Christie and the men were still there.

Nora suggested that they drive back to college because of the sketchy situation they were in. At first, the girls thought she was joking, but they quickly realized she wasn’t and went to their rooms to pack their bags immediately.

“We huddle together because we’re like, we need a game plan because we got to act like dumb girls, and we can’t let them know that we’re in on anything,” Nora recalled.

“So, we decide we’re going down with a fight if we have to. There are some things that are worse than death, in my opinion, and I would be willing to go down in a fight if that’s what it had come to.”

Luckily, things did not escalate to that level. They agreed to tell Christie that they had an early morning tomorrow, so they were getting a head start on packing up the car.

Christie told them that she was the only one with the code to their Airbnb, and she would never let the “boys” hurt them. They all pretended to trust what Christie had to say.

When they returned to get the rest of their stuff, they came up with another excuse and planned to tell her that they were getting ice cream for a movie night. But when they hiked back to their car, they found that it was blocked in by the men’s truck.

They sent their two flirtiest girls up to the men to try to get them to move their truck. Finally, Christie told the men to move their vehicle.

They got in their car and drove far away from there. The next day, Nora realized that there was a nail in one of the car tires.

They reported Christie to the Airbnb host, but had a feeling that the host was in on it. They did get a 50% refund, and the host offered to let them stay there again for free, but of course, the girls weren’t falling for it.

If that kind of situation were to happen today, Nora and her friends would know better than to go in the Airbnb at all.
