One day, TikToker @islandgyalijah went on a date after work. She met up with this guy at a bar, and the bar was offering unlimited drinks for $30. The deal lasted for only 90 minutes.
Her date set up a timer on his phone for 90 minutes, which she thought was a little extra. She was not a big drinker, and she had to work the next day, so she wouldn’t be indulging too much.
Right away, she could tell he was a heavy drinker. This man kept pressuring her to drink more, and it made her so uncomfortable. She ended up getting a little tipsy. Then, he invited her to go up to a rooftop bar, but it was late, and she wanted to go home.
“So, then, he took me home. Everything was cool,” she stated. “I should have stopped there, but no, I ended up going on another date with him, and this is when it got weird.”
For their second date, they met up to play mini golf. He drove there while she took the subway. When she arrived, he told her to come to his car for some drinks that he had brought along.
Once they were playing mini golf, he ordered drinks and even kept badgering the server for more. She was embarrassed by his rude behavior.
They had consumed four drinks by the time they were on their second round of golf, and she was already drunk. This time, they made a bet. If he won, she would have to give him a massage. If she won, he would have to give her a $100 gift card to Sephora.
He started playing to win and was super focused on the game. He got mad every time he made a bad swing. She won by one point, and he was genuinely upset that he had lost.
After that, he began talking about taking her to the rooftop again. She didn’t really want to go, but he kept pressing her about it. Finally, she caved in.

She told him that she wasn’t getting any more drinks, so she was unsure what they were even doing at the rooftop bar. He agreed to leave.
Once they got in his car, he asked her to go home with him. She said no, but he tried to convince her to change her mind. They went back and forth for a while.
“At one point, I was like, I’m just going to get out and call an Uber, and then I was gesturing as if I was going to get out of the car, and he incriminates himself,” she said.
“He’s like, you’re acting like I’m some creep, and I’m like, I never said you were a creep, so you’re telling on yourself.”
After a long debate, he took her home. It was a scary situation, and she feels lucky that she was able to end the night safely. Now, she’s warning other women to be careful on dates, and if something feels off, it’s okay to walk away.
