Most people get a hobby or watch a movie when they’re bored; they don’t start two emotional affairs and flush a thousand dollars a month down a gambling drain.

Using boredom as an excuse while his wife is recovering from childbirth and raising two kids is a slap in the face. It’s not that he was bored; it’s that he’s completely fine with risking his family’s stability for a quick hit of dopamine.

This woman has been with her husband for seven years in total, and six years ago, they tied the knot. They have two children who are four and one-month-old.

Over this past weekend, she woke up on Saturday morning so she could feed their youngest baby and realized her husband had not locked his phone.

Usually, it wouldn’t cross her mind to dig through his stuff, but she had a gut feeling to check it out. So, she did look through her husband’s phone, and she came across far more than she bargained for.

Her husband has a job working for a car dealership, and she found evidence that he’s been cheating on her emotionally with two different women he works with.

“One of them has been telling him how in love she is with him, and he has said ‘I love you’ back in the texts. The other woman is also married, but she and her husband are separated,” she explained.

“I confronted my husband last night. He claims he never slept with either of them and never even kissed them. He says it was ‘just flirting,’ that it was all for fun because he was bored, but I don’t believe him.”

“I packed up my things, took the kids, and left. I also reached out to both women. They both told me nothing physical ever happened and that they only talk to and interact with him at work. I honestly don’t know what to believe.”

Her heart is shattered, she’s bewildered, and she literally just had a baby with her husband, so why would he do this to her?

Adding to the mess, she figured out that her husband has a problem with gambling. She did know he enjoyed it, but she was under the impression that it was a hobby and he had it under control.

But nope, he’s been dropping $1,000 a month on gambling, which has her terrified. She can’t believe he’s spending this kind of money.

“I don’t know what to do. He makes significantly more money than I do, and leaving for good would be incredibly stressful financially. I feel stuck, overwhelmed, and lost,” she continued.

I’m sorry, but telling another woman who is not your wife that you love her is so beyond just being flirtatious; it’s actually cheating. Add the gambling on top of that, and I think she needs to find a way to leave him.

I get she’s going to be anxious about money walking away, but he’s playing with their family’s stability. $1,000 is an enormous amount of money to waste in a month, and I wonder if he’s actually spending more or if it will progress to worse losses.
