After six years of nannying, TikToker Kayla (@mak20032025) decided to stop because of paranormal activity at one family’s house. So, she did an interview with a married couple who were about to have a baby. They decided to go with someone else.
Two months later, the mom texted her out of the blue and asked if she would be willing to nanny for her. At this point, the baby was two or three months old. The hours for her nannying job were 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
When Kayla showed up, the mom told her that she was getting divorced. Her husband had moved to Kentucky. She also noticed some strange behavior from the woman. She walked around her house in a listless state and would often step outside to smoke.
The baby’s room contained a queen bed and a crib. There was a big Raggedy Ann doll and a smaller Raggedy Ann doll on the bed. The baby didn’t sleep in that room.
She slept in a bassinet in the living room, while the mom slept on one of the couches in the living room. She also never left the house, except for doctor’s appointments.
Kayla began to notice shadows in weird places. One night, she and the mom were talking at around 10 or 11 p.m. when her husband’s Xbox turned on by itself. No one had touched the remote controls. Kayla asked her if that kind of stuff happened a lot and if she thought it was a coincidence.
The mom said yes and that she didn’t think it was a coincidence. Then, she walked outside to smoke a cigarette, came back inside, and went to sleep. That same night, Kayla was eating in the kitchen when she saw a shadow in the baby’s room.
She freaked out, snapped a picture of the doorway, and called her friend. When she took a closer look at the picture, she saw someone peeking out from behind the doorway. It was an entity that appeared to be tall, slender, and wearing dirty clothes.
Kayla woke up the mother and told her that she needed to leave because she wasn’t feeling well. She then ran to the door, but realized the front door was locked, so she had to go out through the back door near the forest.

“Imagine she was trying to get the entity to attach to someone else and hired someone at the most active hours for that reason,” commented one user.
“A lot of cultures around the world believe you should never leave a woman alone for a few months after birth. Postpartum women are way more susceptible to the paranormal,” stated another.
“Sometimes, spirits attach to sadness. As soon as you said she doesn’t leave the house, I immediately knew there was something attached to her,” wrote a third.
