If you discovered that the person who left you at your lowest was engaged to someone else, yet trying to get back together with you, would you expose them to the poor soul about to marry them?

This woman recently found out that her ex-boyfriend was engaged to another girl while trying to revive their romance, and she had no idea he wasn’t single.

Her boyfriend’s fiancée texted her to confirm some things with her after she caught sight of their messages on an iPad they shared.

“Until that moment, I [hadn’t] had the foggiest idea that she even existed. My ex and I were together [for] 5 years. 4 years ago, I was working as an assistant manager at a home improvement store when I hurt my back on a shift,” she explained.

“We were short-staffed, a pallet needed moving, and I twisted wrong trying to help shift part of it by hand. I ended up with a bad lumbar disc herniation, nerve pain down my leg, surgery, pain meds, lost my job, gained weight, and got depressed.”

“He stayed for a few months, then left with some line about not being able to keep setting himself on fire to keep me warm. Fair enough, I guess. Good riddance.”

After her boyfriend dumped her, it honestly took her a very long time to build herself back up. She ended up moving home to live with her mom, found another job, and purchased her own condo a year ago.

Several months ago, her now-ex-boyfriend messaged her out of the blue. Initially, what he had to say was pretty harmless. He questioned her about how she was doing.

He asked her if she hated him for dumping her, and that was silly, because she’s not appreciative of him leaving her when she was at such a low spot in her life.

“Then it turned into regret, bad timing, and whether I ever think about us. Last week, he asked if I wanted to get dinner and see if there was still something there…Again, I did NOT know he was engaged,” she continued.

“His fiancée asked me if he was trying to get back together with me behind her back. I sent her the screenshots, no hesitation. Now our Donjuan is sending me angry messages claiming that I’m a bitter [piece of junk].”

“Maybe. But if I was about to marry someone who was quietly lining up a plan B, I’d certainly like to know.”

Her ex’s fiancée wasn’t mean to her at all when she reached out; she was obviously blindsided and trying to piece together what her man was up to behind her back.

She’s left wondering if it was rude of her to send her ex’s fiancée proof of him trying to get back together with her.

I think she did the right thing, letting this girl know that the man she’s about to marry is no good. She’s a hero for telling this girl the truth and for not allowing her ex to get away with what he was doing.

I hope her ex’s fiancée calls off the wedding and dumps him.
