When TikToker Kody (@overcash31) bought his first house, he didn’t realize that it came with a demon. The house was built in the mid-thirties, but it had a solid structure. It never creaked or made any other noises.
One day, he came home from a shift at the oil field, got ready for bed, and went to sleep. Immediately upon falling asleep, he had a nightmare.
In the nightmare, he was in his room, sitting up in bed. He saw a hand pushing his bedroom door open. As the door swung fully open, it revealed a creature in the doorway.
“It put its right hand on the ground,” said Kody. “It was kind of crouched. Another hand came around the door frame, and it appeared and looked into my room and looked directly at me. It was humanoid. It was about my size…and it was just skin wrapped around a skull.”
Heart pounding, he suddenly woke up screaming and shot out of bed. Once he realized he was awake, he quickly looked around the room. Nothing was there.
Clearly, it had just been a terrifying dream. But a feeling told him that it wasn’t simply a dream. Something was there—he just couldn’t see it.
“I can feel its presence like I’m being watched,” he said. “The back of my neck feels like it’s itching with something crawling around. Something’s wrong; I’m in danger. I’ve never woken up and felt like I was still actively in danger before.”
When he reached over to his nightstand, he turned slightly and heard a voice. The voice announced that it was a demon. Kody grabbed his Bible from the drawer of his nightstand and started reading it out loud.
As soon as he started reading a passage, it sounded like the creature pushed itself away from his door and started crawling up the bathroom wall. The tiles in the hallway began creaking under the weight of the creature.

Kody peered down the hallway into the bathroom and saw the shower curtain waving around. He thought an earthquake might be happening, but the glass of water on his nightstand sat perfectly still, without so much as a ripple.
At that point, Kody felt like he might pass out from fear, but he kept reading. Soon enough, the creature crawled up into the roof and leaped away. The house stopped shaking and became completely silent.
He grabbed his TV remote, found a YouTube video about Bible verses, cranked up the volume, and stood up. He went through the house and shut all the doors, blessing each room with words from the Bible.
Then, he went back to his bedroom, locked the door, and proceeded to have the best sleep of his life.
After that day, he knew for certain that demons and evil creatures existed in the world. It was one of the scariest experiences of his life.
