According to TikToker Shay (@shaytylaa), her dad encountered a haunted house, and the experience made him believe that ghosts are real. The series of events that occurred while he was in the house was impossible to deny or explain away.
One day, her dad and his friend, Harry, had to remove all the belongings from a lady’s house after she passed away. There was a large painting of the lady on the wall near the entrance of the house.
Shay’s dad had walked past it several times. The painting gave him the creeps because he claimed it felt like the eyes were following him.
As a result, he took the picture off the wall and turned it around so he couldn’t see it. But while he was working in the house, he kept hearing a banging noise coming from upstairs.
When he went upstairs to investigate, he discovered that the sound was from an old ceiling fan spinning around, so he turned it off. The upstairs was also creepy because the lady had owned a bunch of porcelain dolls and strange puppets.
“Anyway, my dad was out back doing something, moving some furniture, and he heard the doorbell ring,” said Shay. “He and Harry looked at each other and were like, that’s weird, didn’t even know the doorbell worked. So, my dad opened the door, and nobody was there.”
He closed the door and went back to what he was doing. But then, the doorbell rang again. He looked outside to check if any cars were parked around the area, but he didn’t see any.
When he opened the door, no one was there again. Even though he was freaked out, he still went back to work. Nothing happened after that.
The next day, Harry and Shay’s dad returned to the house to finish packing up the rest of the lady’s stuff. When they walked through the door, they saw that the giant painting of the lady was hanging on the wall.

“Nobody else had been there because they were the only ones who were supposed to be there, removing everything,” said Shay. “Somehow, this picture ended up back on the wall. So, [my dad] asked his friend if he had put it back up, and his friend said no.”
Shay’s dad took down the picture and faced it the other way, just as he had done before. About an hour into working, he heard the banging noise again.
The ceiling fan had turned on randomly. It was plugged back in, so Shay’s dad unplugged it. He also noticed that the porcelain dolls had been rearranged on the shelves, and the box of puppets had tipped over and spilled everywhere.
Shay’s dad came to the conclusion that the house was definitely haunted. He and Harry quickly finished packing. As they were leaving the house, they realized that the painting was back on the wall. The lady who had lived there must have wanted her picture to stay up.
