After graduating from college, TikToker Alexa (@alexaabney69) started dating a guy who faked an allergic reaction just to get out of taking her on a date. At the time, they had been dating for a couple of months, and he still hadn’t taken her out on a date.

He had received a gift card for his birthday, so he decided to use that to pay for their date. He took her to a nice steakhouse. When they arrived, they ordered food.

For some reason, his food arrived 10 minutes before hers. He started chowing down on his food, and she just sat there and watched him.

“I feel like it’s common courtesy to wait for everybody to have their food before you start eating,” said Alexa. “But he was like, no, I don’t want mine to get cold while we’re waiting for yours.”

He was nearly finished with his food by the time hers was finally served. When he saw the waiter approaching their table, he only had three bites of food left.

Suddenly, he claimed that his throat was closing up and that he was having an allergic reaction.

When the waiter set down Alexa’s food, he told him to cancel the order because they needed to leave right away. He stated that there wasn’t even time to put the food in a to-go box.

Of course, Alexa thought they had to rush to the nearest hospital. However, once they got into the car, his actions didn’t exactly scream life-threatening emergency. Her boyfriend took his sweet time searching for a good song to play.

While they were driving, he made a turn that took them toward his house instead of the hospital. When Alexa questioned him, he told her that they had to go back to his house to grab his EpiPen, and then they could head to the hospital.

“When we walked into his house, all of his roommates and a bunch of his friends were just sitting on the couch, drinking beers, watching football, or whatever, and he couldn’t have been more perfectly fine when he walked through that door,” said Alexa.

He suddenly felt okay again and suggested that they stay and drink with his friends. Apparently, his medical crisis had somehow vanished the second he got home.

Meanwhile, Alexa ended up going hungry. She never got the chance to go on a real date and eat the steakhouse dinner she had been looking forward to.

Looking back, the entire allergic reaction had been nothing more than an elaborate plan to get out of taking her on a date. Maybe he didn’t want to pay for her meal, or he wanted to get back to hanging out with his friends.

Either way, he continued drinking with his friends all night long, without a care in the world.
