If you found out that your partner put something gross in your drink just to get back at you, would you kick them out of your house ASAP?

This 34-year-old man has spent the last 11 months living with his 33-year-old girlfriend. He met her when he was working on a project in the south, and the first few months of their relationship were long-distance.

His girlfriend was living with her roommate from college and had a tough time getting a job. She was unemployed back then, and the job market in her area had no options for her.

“I offered to let her move in with me because the job market was much better where I lived (a couple [of] states north), and we wouldn’t have to do long distance anymore.

“After she moved up here, I bought a used car for her to use, and she did find a job at a call center for a bit. For the last 6 months, she’s been unemployed, and I have supported her.”

“Over the last 3 months, the relationship has devolved to the point where we are constantly fighting. After giving her an ultimatum, she finally got a new job that started this week.”

A week ago, he purchased a doorbell camera, and his girlfriend got angry while calling it an invasion of her privacy. While he should have asked permission, he really needed it to help him coordinate grocery deliveries, and it gives him more security.

They argued about the doorbell camera before he went to bed. The following morning, he got up, and his girlfriend had made coffee for him.

He noticed there was something strange floating on the top of the cup of Joe. He then found out that his girlfriend disgustingly put her own snot in his coffee!

He instantly confronted his girlfriend, who denied it, before admitting that if she did do it, he would know why. As in, it was retaliation for installing the doorbell camera.

“I told her it was time for her to leave. Initially, I had told her she had to pack and leave immediately, but I ended up walking that back because she had nowhere to go,” he added.

“No family, and no nearby friends. Despite my extreme disgust, I couldn’t just make her homeless. I told her to clean up the guest room and move her stuff into it. She did, but then came into my room early the next morning because she ‘can’t/is afraid to sleep in there alone.'”

“I mostly just ignored her and kept to myself. She tried to mend fences with me by cooking dinner a few days later, when I looked at the food she had cooked, all I could think about was the ball of snot in my coffee.”

Yesterday evening, while he was attempting to drift off to sleep, he was wondering about what else his girlfriend might have put in his food. He then made her return to the guest room.

He’s never been in a predicament like this, and he’s not sure if it jeopardizes his safety letting her remain in his home. He’s also doubting whether they can fix their relationship and if he should even try to do that.

His girlfriend recently started going to church, and when she came home this morning, he decided to try to have a chat with her, but it didn’t go the way he had hoped.

“She wouldn’t acknowledge her actions at first, but I persisted. She’s upset that ‘I’m throwing away a year of our lives,’ but not overly emotional about it,” he continued.

“I told her she’s got to figure out how to get along on her own now. I’m trying to be as fair but firm as possible. She asked to stay until her first paycheck from her new job comes in, but I don’t feel like I can risk her staying around.”

Oh no, he needs to get her out of his house as soon as possible, even if it means paying for a room for her to rent or something. The longer she remains in his home, the higher the chance of her doing something else to his food or drinks.

People do make mistakes or have lapses in judgment, but purposefully putting snot in his coffee doesn’t qualify as any of those things. This was an intentionally disgusting and hateful thing his girlfriend did, and quite frankly, it’s unforgivable.

She’s sick and dangerous, and he shouldn’t think twice about making her homeless over what she did. She deserves it.
