After His Mother-In-Law Refused To Come To The Wedding For A Crazy Reason, Here’s How He Replied To Her
A 33-year-old doctor is going to be getting married this upcoming November, and the problem he is having is with his mother-in-law.
She’s pretty much tried to take over planning the wedding, and he says it has been nothing short of a “nightmare” up until this point.
He explained that his fiancée currently is not making any money due to a medical issue, but she is planning on returning to her job at some point, so he is the one footing the bill for the whole wedding right now.
He budgeted a set amount for the wedding itself and the honeymoon to follow. He also did all of the planning for the wedding food, the guest list, and the actual date in November.
Well, his mother-in-law tried to fight him every step of the way because the way he did things was different than how she wanted.
Add that to the fact that his fiancée is his mother-in-law’s only daughter, and things have really gotten out of control.
This groom-to-be recently learned that his mother-in-law (along with his father-in-law) picked out a particular venue that they insist the wedding needs to be at.
Unfortunately, the venue they are demanding is ridiculously expensive and far from where his family lives, and his family has even explained to him they won’t be able to make it if the wedding ends up being there.
He told his mother-in-law that he is not considering the venue she desperately wants, but despite that, she has not been letting it go and she keeps trying to get him to agree to have the wedding there.

A few days ago when he got home from work one night, he was surprised to see some of his fiancée’s family members in his house, without his fiancée there.
His mother-in-law took the opportunity to bring up the wedding venue again just as he sat down to take off his socks.
He reprimanded his mother-in-law for getting on him about it before he even had a moment to sit down, and she replied back that her daughter needs to get married at this place.
“She sternly said that her daughter deserves to have her wedding at that venue and I’m a doctor I can afford it and distance was just an excuse,” he said.
“She said she made a reservation on the phone and I had to pay for it within a set time while pointing at me with her finger which I thought was rude and very, very disrespectful, followed by or else.”
“I asked “or else” what? She said if I choose any other venue then she won’t attend the wedding.”
“I didn’t budge like she thought I would I just leaned forward and said, “Alright, I guess the trash took itself out then?”
As you can imagine, his answer did not go over well with his mother-in-law or the rest of his fiancée’s family members.
Everyone clearly heard what he had said, and they all got quiet. His mother-in-law yelled at him that he was rude and cheap, while he maintained that she was being a complete gold digger.
He then said she needed to go home and let him and his fiancée deal with the wedding venue decision on their own.
She began sobbing before making her way out of the house and the rest of his fiancée’s family went with her.
He really did think his father-in-law was about to spit in his face, that’s how crazy this all got. When his fiancée learned about what had happened, she did not side with him at all.
His fiancée accused him of being disrespectful to his mother-in-law and was upset with how he treated her.
He tried to stick up for himself by laying out how insane his mother-in-law’s demands were, coupled with the fact that she clearly doesn’t care about him and how hard he has worked for his money.
“She said she was going to settle this with her without my intervention but honestly, it blew her mind how low I stooped with how I treated her mom,” he continued.
“She wanted some time alone because she is thinking I might be someone else hiding behind a mask with how I behaved which hurt me to no end.”
How would you handle this?
