Her Sister’s Significant Other Is Banned From Her Wedding For Being Awful To Her Fiancé’s 90-Year-Old Great-Grandma And Now She’s Thinking Of Banning Her Sister Too

A 27-year-old woman is set to get married to her 29-year-old fiancé James. Now, she has a 19-year-old young sister named Jade, who is not getting a plus one to her wedding.

Her sister Jade has a significant other, but they are not getting an invite for one important reason.

Jade is so upset about the fact that her significant other is not invited to the wedding that she made a bunch of awful posts on social media calling this bride-to-be named and in general telling lies about what even happened in the first place to get them here.

So, Jade is a lesbian and her significant other is Sam, who is also 19. Sam is non-binary.

This bride-to-be’s family was very kind and welcoming of Sam when they met Sam, just like they were with this bride-to-be’s fiancé.

A month ago, this bride-to-be had a birthday party at the house she shares with her fiancé James.

James has a 90-year-old great-grandma named Ethel who happened to be staying with them that week, so she came to the birthday bash.

“Sam is non-binary and her pronouns are xe/xem/xyr,” this bride-to-be explained. “I will be honest, they can be difficult to remember for some people and some people just refer to her as Sam and avoid using xem pronouns if unsure as Sam can be quite unpleasant when people make a mistake even know they just met her.”

“Grandma Ethel is 90, she’s rather open-minded for her age, she’s very accepting of lesbians, understand that trans people exist, and so on.”

“Never said a bad word. But she’s never heard of non-binary people not to mention Neo pronouns. Jade attended my birthday party with Sam and we introduced her to Ethel. Sam made sure to tell Ethel xem pronouns and Ethel looked confused AF but said nothing.”

The time came for everyone to eat cake, and as they were all hanging out, Ethel very respectfully asked Sam to explain the pronouns that Sam had mentioned to her.

She admitted that she did not understand the pronouns, but she was trying to learn about them here.

While Ethel was asking about the pronouns that she did not quite grasp, she ended up saying she/her in relation to Sam.

“Jade started explaining it but Sam got really angry, Sam looked at Ethel and told her “you’re old enough to know what pronouns are! Stop playing dumb, you’re just a bigot.” I got mad, I kicked Sam out and told her to never come back,” she said.

“I understand a lot but I will not allow her to disrespect a lovely old lady because she didn’t quite understand something.”

Fast forward to it being time for this bride-to-be to mail her wedding invites. She did not exclude a single guest from being able to have a plus one except her sister Jade.

She made sure to deliver Jade’s invite to her personally, and when she did, she told her Sam was not able to come to the wedding.

Since Sam can’t be respectful to people genuinely trying to understand her pronouns, she doesn’t want her at the wedding because she doesn’t want to risk her screaming at some of the older family members who will be there and who probably won’t understand the pronouns either.

In response to this, Jade did not say a word to her, but she was clearly less than thrilled about the fact that Sam wasn’t invited.

A few days ago, this bride-to-be’s brother phoned her up to say that Jade went nuclear in a Facebook post, and he snapped photos of the post to show her.

Jade is going around the internet accusing this bride-to-be of siding with her “husband’s bigoted family” instead of her.

Jade conveniently left out the whole reason why this even happened, and she isn’t telling the whole truth.

Since the post went live, she has had several people call her and ask what was going on.

She’s completely fed up at this point, and she does not want to deal with this. She’s seriously considering telling Jade she’s no longer welcome at the wedding either, since she’s trying to call her a bigot now too, which is not something to take lightly.

She’s left feeling extremely upset about Jade lying and deceiving people about this.

How would you deal with this?
