She Was Just Accused Of Ruining Her Sister’s Engagement Announcement

The newly engaged sister was beyond pissed, telling her sister it was all her fault. She was inconsolably upset and hurt that her sister ruined her chance to tell everyone the big news.

Although she never said the words, the eldest sister repeatedly apologized, trying to convince her she had no intention of ruining anything.

But, the damage had been done. The youngest sister was convinced the oldest sister wanted to take away the happiness of her special moment and take the attention away from her.

In my opinion, I suspect there was some voice inflection that changed her from jerk sister to unintentional jerk sister or vice versa.

Honestly, it’s tough to read a text or a letter and guess someone’s emotions and intent without physically hearing their voice.

Her response of “oh, interesting” could have been sweet and innocent, drawn-out and suspicious, or even rude, but we’ll never know “how” she said it. We can only assume she was trying to be nonchalant, not coy.

But, if the older sister said “oh, interesting” with any hint of-lights on the marquee, starring me, the best child, I have a secret, I’m going to ruin my little sister’s surprise, then she would be a complete jerk.

I guess we’ll never know. You can read the original post on Reddit here and decide for yourself.
