Her Husband Yelled At Her For Buying Their Daughter A Prom Dress Way Over Budget, And Now Her Daughter Feels To Guilty To Wear The Dress

Once back home, her daughter put on her new prom dress and showed her husband. Her husband thought the dress looked wonderful on their daughter, but then he wanted to know how much the dress cost.

She downplayed it and excused herself to the kitchen to go make dinner. Her husband then wanted to see her receipt, but she claimed she tossed it and no longer had it.

Since she and her husband share their bank account, he simply logged on to see for himself how much she had spent.

When he checked and saw that she went over budget, he began yelling at her for spending that kind of money on a “stupid dress” that their daughter was only going to put on for one day of her life.

She fired back that she didn’t stick to the budget in order to make their daughter feel good for prom, but her husband was still so upset that she didn’t find one for $500 or less.

She kept fighting with her husband about the prom dress for the next half hour, then he stormed out to stay with one of his friends and has not come back home since.

“This was a day ago,” she continued. “Our daughter feels so bad and wants to return the dress but I won’t allow her to.”

She’s wondering if it was wrong of her to go over budget for her daughter’s prom dress. What do you think; should she have stuck to the budget of $500?
