His Family Is Pretty Wealthy, But He Won’t Let His Fiancée Ask Them For Money To Help Fund Their Wedding

If they want to get married there, they’d had to delay the wedding a couple of months to make sure they could pay for it.

As for their financial situation, this couple makes a decent amount of money independently. This man does not have any student loan debt, but his fiancée does.

Their original plan was for him to put his work salary toward the wedding, while his fiancée saves up to get herself out of student loan debt.

What’s interesting is that he does have a large family trust fund. It is currently being run by his father and uncle, and it is a fairly sizable amount of money.

However, the trust isn’t something he can casually dip into at any time. “The trust is used to control people,” he said. “It has always been since I was a child.”

Using money from the trust fund was always conditional. For example, if he wanted to be anything other than a doctor, he was not allowed to use the trust for school tuition.

When he was 16 and wanted to buy a car, he could use the trust money for it only if he was enrolled in a certain amount of extracurricular activities.

Despite his trust fund situation being very complicated, his fiancée is trying to consider reaching out to the trustee to see if they could use it to pay for their wedding.

He told her no. “She is now upset with me,” he continued.

“I told her that it wasn’t worth it and the strings that come with the money is not something she would want to live with.”

Now, he finds himself arguing about this issue often with his fiancée.
