She Told Her Best Friend Not To Buy The Prom Dress Of Her Dreams Because She Doesn’t Want To Match Her

“Chelsea pressured me for days to show her what it looked like and after receiving a headache from it, I gave in,” she said. “She was excited for me as it was expensive, costing me almost $700.”

Prom is currently 4 weeks away, and Chelsea only recently discovered the dress of her dreams to wear.

When Chelsea showed her the dress, she was upset to see that it was the same color as her own prom dress; lavender.

“This is the reason I didn’t want to show her mine in the first place and kept it a secret,” she continued.

“I spent a lot of money and I told her I really don’t want to match with her this dance. As I put down her idea telling her to please not buy it, she got upset and got my mom involved in it too.”

Her mom thinks that it will be wonderful for them to match at prom, though this is infuriating her.

“I wanted one night,” she added. “One night and one dance for us to not be matching and for her to not be so overbearing.”

Although Chelsea has since moved on to check out other kinds of dresses, she still is convinced she’s purchasing one in lavender and that’s it.

She’s really mad that Chelsea isn’t respecting her wishes, but what can she do about it?
