Her Friend Didn’t Buy Her A Corsage For Prom And Claimed To Be Too Poor To Afford It, So She Told Her Off In Front Of All Their Friends

She kept quiet, figuring that Courtney had to have money saved and set aside specifically for their prom.

Well, a couple of weeks ago, Courtney revealed to her that she “forgot” to tell her that she could not order her a corsage because she was too poor to buy it.

So, she was about to be the only girl in their friend group showing up to prom without a corsage.

All the rest of their friends began telling Courtney that it wasn’t fair of her to do, but she still didn’t call Courtney out. She let her friends tell her off, as it wasn’t the biggest deal to her.

“I don’t care about a flowery slap bracelet as long as I can take a shot right before,” she said. “But then Courtney also tries to spin it around, telling us that we should have told her about the price before she agreed to it.”

She found that ridiculous, as Courtney was the one who wanted them all to get corsages, so Courtney clearly knew the price of them.

Later on, she and her friends noticed that Courtney posted online about spending $250 on her nails and hair for prom.

One of the girls in their friend group screenshotted Courtney’s post and sent it to their group chat, with Courtney on there.

Courtney began accusing them all of coming at her for being poor, before insisting her dad gave her all that money for her nails and hair.

“This other girl in the group that I’m friends with (Lauren) suggested that she should have given me some of the money to reimburse for the corsage (because I bought one for her because that was literally the plan) and Courtney flips,” she continued.

“Tries to dismantle the group, calls us fake, etc…Courtney had no problem lamenting about her financial crisis in the chat, so I see no problem telling everyone that she owed me for all the times I drove 20 mins out of my way to take her home because she ‘didn’t like the bus’, about all those times I bought her meals and gave her cash.”
