Her Parents Took Her Out To A Seafood Restaurant To Celebrate Her Graduation Even Though She’s Highly Allergic To Seafood

“So I worked my (butt) off 6 years straight and ended up being “celebrated” with chicken tenders and fries while everyone else had shrimp and grits, catfish, salmon/shrimp pasta, etc.,” she said.

“I felt (and still do) feel really hurt and when I asked my dad why he booked a place he knew I could barely eat, he got mad and defensive, “Well you ate right,” “Don’t make a big deal out of it” and I just cried.”

It’s certainly sad that her parents took her out for dinner to celebrate her graduation at a place where she couldn’t even eat anything.

She says this is primarily the reason why she doesn’t enjoy being around her mom and dad. Everything ends up being about what they want and never about what anyone else wants.

When her mom and dad got to the airport to fly back home, she felt a sense of relief that they were no longer in the same state as her.

She’s left feeling like her mom and dad didn’t care about what was best for her at all; they just felt the need to “parade” her around after achieving such a major milestone in her life.

She’s wondering if it was wrong of her to say that it was “disrespectful” of her parents to take her out to a seafood place to celebrate.

Do you think so?
