She’s Not Going To Her Boyfriend’s Friend’s Wedding Because Of The Money, But Her Boyfriend’s Parents Offered To Pay For Her

Her ideal scenario would be to go backpacking with her boyfriend around Central America. It would be the “last hoorah” before she goes off to law school. The trip would cost around $1,000…similar to the wedding.

When she asked her boyfriend if he wanted to go, he became agitated. He accused her of not prioritizing and being selfish. The woman feels as though she prioritizes his wants and needs in many aspects of their relationship.

Her boyfriend’s parents had recently earned some extra money and wanted to help out. They offered to help pay some of the airfares for the trip to the wedding so that she could save some more money to go on her backpacking trip.

Despite the generous offer, she feels uncomfortable taking the money.

Now, she is unsure of what to do.

“This is probably my last window of opportunity to take such a big trip for the next five to 10 years,” she said.

“I know I will deeply regret spending the money to go to this weekend wedding over a huge backpacking trip.”

Is she being unreasonable?
