This Cat Has Cancer, But If He Gets Radiation And Surgery, He Has An Excellent Chance Of Beating It

And in the end, she had decided to keep Buddha. So until this day, Chase considers Buddha as her partner in being a black cat activist. The two also share many stories on Chase’s blog, which is also titled Furball Fables.

Unfortunately, in late April, Buddha was diagnosed with cancer with a tumor beside his lips. The news had shaken up Chase’s world for her beloved fur baby, for which she humbly turned to her cat communities for help.

She has also opened up a GoFundMe page as she was quoted for the lifesaving procedures, which were about $4,700, including the surgery, and radiation treatment would be $4,500.

Chase has been saving every penny for Buddha’s surgery and aftercare treatments, but she doesn’t have immediate money for such a large number.

So far, the post has raised $4,225 for the goal of $6,500. Chase has also received some funds from her friends and family, which is enough to help Buddha undergo his surgery.

As of April 28, Chase has given updates on her blog and the GoFundMe community. She explained that Buddha had received surgery on April 20, and it was a success.

Buddha’s recovery is also going well. Shortly after the surgery, he was able to eat, which was an exciting sign for the surgeon and Chase. Buddha was also released from the hospital one night after the operation due to his fast recovery.

Now Buddha is resting at home, in a special tent filled with cozy blankets that Chase built for him. He will be going into radiation treatments in a few weeks after his stitches are removed.
