“Weird Al has been an entertainer for decades, and his music has been loved by millions of fans and a vast number of headline singers and groups during that time,” the petition began.
“Bringing him to the Super Bowl halftime show (perhaps to be joined by several artists he’s parodied over the years) would be an entertainment experience enjoyed by people around the world.”
To date, the petition has gained just over two thousand and one hundred signatures.
“It’s about damn time,” wrote one signer, Jeremy Scott.
“We can all use a little Weird Al!” said a second, Lisa Davis.
“He is an absolute icon,” added a third, Brayden Solt.
So, if you love Weird Al’s quirks and antics, you can support fans’ Super Bowl halftime dreams by signing the petition linked here.
