She Talked About The Things In Her Wedding She Was Not Willing To Compromise On, And She Admitted That Most Of Them Would Definitely Make People Upset
One of our favorite TikTok trends is when people make lists of rules or things that have to happen at their future weddings.
One TikTok user’s list had some pretty interesting rules. Some of them are things that we’ve never seen on one of these lists before!
Kara Hansen (@karaaaashley) has received over 22,000 likes on her wedding list video. Her comments section is filled with people debating over whether or not they’d apply her rules. Check them out and see how you feel about them!
Her first one is a common rule on these lists – no kids.
“No children under sixteen,” explains Kara. “A wedding is not the place for them. There is too much loud music, they don’t eat the food, they don’t drink alcohol, and they don’t party.”
Kara also points out that most parents who bring their kids to a wedding usually have to leave early to put them to bed. Where’s the fun in that?
However, some commenters have stated that they disagree with the ‘no kids’ situation.
For example, one woman commented, “I had no children at my wedding, and it is one of the biggest regrets of my life.”

To which Kara responded that she’d only consider it if there were some younger children amongst her extremely close friends and family at the time. If not, there’s no need for them at her wedding.
Kara also states that she will not be having any other dessert at her wedding besides the wedding cake. Some couples like to provide their guests with extra sweets at their reception so that there are more options besides the wedding cake. But Kara doesn’t see the point in paying for extra desserts when she’s already going to spend a large sum of money on the cake.
“I don’t care about keeping the top tier of my wedding cake,” she says. “You guys can just eat it all.”
Some of Kara’s other rules are that she demands that speeches at the reception be kept short and sweet and that she is going to change into a short dress after the ceremony to feel more comfortable. One of Kara’s more controversial rules is that she is totally fine if her future husband wants to see her wedding dress before the wedding. There is one condition, however.
“I don’t really care if my husband sees a photo of my dress before the wedding day,” begins Kara. “Just not on me.”
Finally, Kara says that on the morning of her wedding, she wants a private moment alone with her groom to just hang out and sip some coffee together. How sweet! Other than the few commenters who disagreed with what she said, most of Kara’s viewers were on board with her wedding rules.
“Love the vibes,” commented one user. “Can I come?”
Would you want to use any of Kara’s rules at your future wedding?
