She Told Her Mother-In-Law That Her Husband Picked Her To Be His Wife Before Telling Her Mother-In-Law To Leave Their House
Unfortunately, this woman has a mother-in-law who is completely in love with her husband. Yep, that’s right– and not in a typical mother-son way. No, her mother-in-law is totally overbearing and tries to diminish her any chance she can.
In fact, after her husband graduated college, he moved out as soon as he could just to get away from his mother. Then, he continued to keep his mom at arm’s length over the next few years.
More recently, though, she and her husband had a baby girl together and agreed that her mother-in-law could spend more time around their family for her daughter.
And for a while, her mother-in-law was great with her daughter. On top of that, she really thought she saw a difference and believed her mother-in-law had actually changed her ways.
Well, that was until just a couple of days ago when her mother-in-law came over before her husband got home from work. And since her husband was not around, her mother-in-law apparently went back to all of her old ways.
First, her mother-in-law started making rude comments about her appearance and the mess in her house. However, she was nursing and did not want to get into an argument. So, she just brushed her mother-in-law’s comments off.
Once her husband got home from work, though, things only escalated. And it all began when her husband kissed her and her daughter’s foreheads and asked, “How are my beautiful girls?”
Apparently, even though it was obvious that her husband was speaking to her and her daughter, her mother-in-law chimed in.
“Before I could answer, my mother-in-law said that she was good and that my daughter was okay for now,” she recalled.

Her husband was taken aback and turned to his mother to clarify that he had been talking to her. Still, though, he said he was glad to hear that his mother was doing well, too.
For whatever reason, though, his mother-in-law did not take the hint and continued making jabs about her. In fact, her mother-in-law claimed that she obviously was “not okay” because she looked like a mess.
But at that point, she was totally over the passive-aggressive comments and decided to stand up to her mother-in-law like she never had before.
“So, I told her that we were not going to do this and if she had a problem, she could just leave. My house was not even a mess,” she explained.
If you could not have guessed it, though, her comment was not received well. Instead, her mother-in-law got super upset and began arguing with her.
But, the real kicker was when her mother-in-law claimed that she needed to “give it time” because her husband would eventually go back to his mother.
Obviously, this sounded totally bizarre. So, before her husband could even say anything, she called her mother-in-law weird and jealous and clarified that her husband picked her to be his wife. He did not pick his mother.
Of course, that comment only made her mother-in-law more upset. Thankfully, though, before her mother-in-law had a chance to say anything else, her husband just told his mother to leave the house.
And afterward, her husband was totally proud of her for sticking up for herself. He believes that she said what needed to be said and confirmed that her mother-in-law would not be allowed back in their home until she was treated with respect.
However, her other in-laws did not totally agree with her husband.
“My husband’s siblings and my father-in-law have been calling and messaging, calling us both jerks for how we treated his mom,” she said.
On top of that, her husband was forced to block his family. And even though he has been totally supportive and claims she did nothing wrong, she is starting to feel pretty bad about ruining his relationship with his other family members.
So now, she has been left wondering if telling her mother-in-law off once and for all was truly the right thing to do or not.
