Nonetheless, the diligent efforts all came up dry. So, in May of 2022, the FBI officially joined the case and has been aiding the search efforts ever since. The FBI’s Atlanta Division also issued a plea for help from community members on its website, urging anyone who has spotted Olivia or who has knowledge of her disappearance to contact their local FBI office.
In the meantime, though, Roxanne and the rest of Olivia’s family have been left wrestling with grief and the bizarre circumstances of the situation– more specifically, how Olivia was never one to just up and disappear.
“It is very, very odd. It’s a really small town, and everybody talks,” Roxanne said. “And it has been a really tough time on me, my family, her children. It’s been rough.”
Still, the Fowlers are not giving up hope. They have passed out flyers, posted yard signs, and even created a Facebook group dedicated to finding Olivia. The group, known as “Olivia’s Army,” is committed to raising awareness about the case.
Olivia’s cousin Amber said in a Facebook post, “She’s so smart and beautiful. Compassionate and kind. She’s got the sweetest southern accent I’ve ever heard! And she’s so loved. More than she’ll ever know.”
Olivia is five-foot-two, weighs one hundred and five pounds, and has green eyes and dirty blonde hair. She is also missing a tooth on her mouth’s right side and had a tattoo of the words “I love you” on her right arm. If you have any information regarding Olivia’s case, you are urged to contact the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 672-4489 or your local FBI office.
