His 22-Year-Old Daughter Wants To Get Married To A 30-Year-Old Guy He Seriously Disapproves Of, So He Is Refusing To Give Them Any Money For Their Wedding

Anyway, now, he has been stuck in a pretty sticky situation. He obviously loves his daughter, but he knows that she has always been pretty desperate to grow up and get married. On top of that, he truly believes that his daughter is more in love with the idea of marriage than who her boyfriend actually is.

“She can be very immature. She is the baby in a large extended family, and I think that has a bit to do with it. Which is why I don’t want to enable this fairytale she is cooking up,” he vented.

At the same time, though, he has still been left wondering if not supporting his daughter’s wedding and refusing to pay for it makes him a real jerk.

What would you think if your daughter was dating a guy like that?  Does he have a right to be concerned about his daughter wanting to get married so suddenly? Do you believe his daughter is really just in love with the idea of marriage? How would you handle this situation?
