Bella wanted to know where a picture of her and her father taken at graduation went, and her parents mentioned they had put it somewhere else so that a photo of her and their parents taken at her wedding could sit on the shelf.
Her parents then told Bella that the photo she was asking about currently sits in their lounge instead.
Bella got snarky about the photo being moved but then seemed to put it behind her.
Later on, at lunch, she brought up a photoshoot she’s currently involved in, and Bella started in on how their parents will begin moving more photos on that dining room shelf to include the photoshoot photos.
She mentioned to Bella that her statement was confusing because the photoshoot photos won’t be of her at all.
Bella then went on about how she made her invisible and stole the place in her dad’s life away from her, as well as the place she had in the lives of her brothers too.
“At this point, I just snapped and said that that was an absurd accusation when she makes every family conversation about herself, and while we all appreciate she is deeply hurt by a lot of things, we’re all sick of being psychoanalyzed,” she said.
“I said that her obsession with me was ridiculous because the only person I’ve ever heard compare us is her and that she needs to find someone qualified and appropriate to discuss these hurt feelings with and stop suffocating us all with her feelings because we’re all bored.”
“Jake just started laughing, and Max shouted, ‘thank God someone said it,’ but Bella burst into tears and left the table. She went home early and has since removed herself from the group chat and isn’t talking to her dad or brothers.”
She’s not sorry about what she said; she’s just sorry that it seems she has alienated Bella from their family.
She’s starting to think she may have been pretty harsh and rude to Bella. Do you think she was?
