“I crept up the lawn with my demo CD, and then I used the tiger dagger to stab it in a tree, so that’s the first thing he’d see when he walked out the door,” Bonnie recalls. “Cause I had to send the message that I won’t be ignored.”
On top of stabbing her CD into one of the CEO’s trees, Bonnie also wrote a note with her lipstick that said “Platinum baby!” and left it on his car.
Upon finding all of the crazy things Bonnie left behind the next morning, the CEO and his family were totally freaked out. Bonnie looks back on that night and realizes how ‘insane’ the whole thing was.
“I’m so lucky that nobody ever called the cops,” she says.
But hey, Bonnie got what she wanted. She was immediately dropped from that unlucky record label. It all worked out. Bonnie is still a successful songwriter to this day and has released more of her own music over the last few years!
