“My wife and I both work, and while these costs wouldn’t put us on the street, it does add up fast. Also, we can only afford one week-long vacation a year, so this friend’s wedding week will be it.”
Since his wife is in the wedding party, she wants to be there for the entire week of festivities.
However, he really doesn’t want to spend a whole week of his vacation time at her friend’s wedding when he’d rather only be there for the rehearsal dinner and actual wedding ceremony.
He thinks his wife’s friend is asking too much of her wedding party and their plus-ones. He believes that if the tables were turned and she was expected to attend all of the events, she wouldn’t want to go to every single one.
Now he’s wondering if it would be rude of him to only be there for the last two days of this extravagant ‘wedding week.’
Do you think it’s alright for him to skip the first three days of events?
