“I told her that her job is being a gold digger. Even if she does donate money, it’s not hers since she didn’t make it,” she recalled.
Her husband apparently overheard that comment, too, and started laughing. So, her sister wound up just storming out, blocking her on everything, and accusing her of being a total jerk to their family.
Her brother has since taken her sister’s side and agreed that she was in the wrong for judging her sister for not doing “real work.”
Quite frankly, though, she just cannot understand how her sister is not in the wrong since her sister was the one who insulted her and her husband in their own home.
Regardless, with both her sister and brother now angry at her, she’s been left wondering whether claiming her sister was a gold digger in spite of being philanthropic was warranted or not.
Do you think her sister made some good points about her husband never helping around the house or spending time with their sons? Does it seem like her sister was trying to be malicious or just look out for her? Was it necessary for her to come down so hard on her sister? How would you have reacted in this situation?
