“My father became the Dr. Seuss of nursery rhymes. Ring who? Ring when? Ring where? You don’t get a ring. I come with the ring. You do know that, right? You take the ring; you take me, too,” said Bel.
Several TikTok users shared stories about how their own parents came to be married, some of which are pretty bizarre.
“My dad legit had a birthday clown propose to my mom on her birthday. The man sent a clown to propose,” commented one user.
“When my parents told my grandpa that they were engaged, he said, ‘ah, marriage, the first step towards divorce,'” wrote another.
“My dad proposed to my mom and she said no. They stayed together and one day she said, ‘wanna go look at wedding rings?” And then they got married,” wrote a third.
