By that point, her mom just called her ungrateful and told her to shut her mouth. So, she told her mom that stealing her personal belongings and donating them was way out of line.
Regardless, her mom claimed that since she lived under her parent’s roof, her mom was entitled to do whatever she wanted. Plus, her mom said that until she decided to part ways with the sweater, her allowance would be reduced.
So now, in the wake of her punishment, she’s been left wondering whether asking for her sweater back from the classmate it was donated to was a really jerky thing to do.
Was it right that her mom donated the sweater from her grandmother without asking? Even so, was it appropriate to approach a student in need and ask for the sweater back? Can you imagine how the girl must have felt being confronted like that? How could she reconcile this situation?
