This 21-year-old girl is currently dating a 27-year-old guy and has been for a year, but leading up to that, she was single for quite some time.

Now, when she met her boyfriend, he asked her for her phone number, and initially, she didn’t give it to him because he’s really handsome and she figured it had to be some kind of mean joke.

Her boyfriend didn’t give up, though, and eventually, she did believe that he was genuinely interested in her.

As soon as she did begin officially dating her boyfriend, she texted her best friend Sophie to share the news. Sophie was thrilled for her, and Sophie asked if she could see a picture of him.

“…I felt that the relationship was too new and volatile, so I didn’t send her the picture, and I told her that I wasn’t ready,” she explained.

“She was fine with that, but she made a joke that he was probably ugly. I didn’t really respond to it, and we didn’t touch that issue again.”

Two months after all of that, she was feeling pretty secure in her relationship. So one night, when she and her boyfriend went out on a date, she took some photos with him and shared them on social media.

She tagged her boyfriend in the photos too. Well, Sophie took a look at the photos and then messaged her to ask where she found such a good-looking guy.

Sophie wanted to know if her boyfriend had a single brother, and she figured Sophie was just joking.

“Looking back, she said another thing that I hadn’t really paid attention to, which was basically, I’m lucky that such an attractive guy chose to go for me,” she said.

“It was weird but on brand for our jokes, so I didn’t follow it up. Yesterday, I was over at my boyfriend’s house, and I was texting my best friend on IG.”

Her boyfriend saw what she was doing and noticed her best friend’s username. He asked who it was, and she told her boyfriend it was her best friend Sophie, whom she was talking to. When she mentioned that, her boyfriend appeared quite in shock. She wanted to know what was wrong, and her boyfriend went to grab his phone.

Her boyfriend then pulled up a bunch of messages between him and Sophie, which she figured was strange.

“Anyway, after reading through the message thread, I realized that after I tagged my BF, Sophie messaged him like she wanted to be friends (without mentioning me) and started coming on to him,” she continued.

“He told her that he had a GF, and she implied that she already knew and saw the photo and that she was much more attractive than me. My BF didn’t engage her in conversation after that. I was feeling super betrayed, so I texted her and asked why did she message my BF on IG. She said that she messaged him to test if he would be faithful to me when the time comes. I’m not sure what to believe.”

Do you think Sophie is lying to her and was trying to steal her boyfriend?
