Reaching a breaking point, he told his niece to stay away from his kids and to figure out how to play by herself when she is over at their house. Then, when his sister came by to pick up his niece, he told her about what had been going on.
However, his sister thinks that what he did was uncalled for and that his niece shouldn’t be punished for not being able to tolerate her son’s behavior.
“I told her that it’s one thing to not have tolerance and a completely separate issue when it comes to being a [bully],” he added.
After this conversation, his sister said that his niece would no longer be coming over. While he’s happy about this and hopeful that it will cause less stress around the house, he feels like members of his family are turning against him because of the way he spoke to his niece.
Do you think that he was right to tell his niece to leave his kids alone, or do you think there is a different way he should have gone about this situation?
