The administrators were insistent on sticking to the regulations, saying that they could not make any exceptions for anyone.
They even went as far as to say that Yesenia’s daughter’s illness wasn’t contagious, implying she still should have attended class regardless of how she was feeling.
Absolutely no empathy was shown, and the administrators even declined to have their refusal written up.
“They had all the medical documentation, but they didn’t care! People like this should not hold any power, and they certainly have no business in education,” Yesenia wrote in her caption.
Luckily, after this meeting was held, someone was able to change the administrators’ minds, and Yesenia’s daughter was able to attend the school dance after all.
Still, Yesenia wanted to share the lack of empathy and the power some administrators like to hold over students and their parents.

Mind you my daughter for the last 2 years has had to endure excruciating pain and the medical treatment plan she was on (chemo meds) made her really sick! They had all the medical documentation but they didnt care! People like this should not hold any power and they certainly have no business in education!
