One day, she came home from a doctor’s appointment and discovered that in addition to brewing another pot of cinnamon coffee, her mother-in-law had also lit several cinnamon candles around the house.
“I yelled at her but then calmed down and just told her to pack her stuff and her son would drive her home as soon as he got here. I also laid into her for not being an actual help in the past month as she barely did any housework, and I often had to cook a meal for myself,” she said.
Her mother-in-law began to cry, but at this point, she didn’t really care. Her husband agreed to drive his mother home, and while he cleared the house of the scent, she stayed at a hotel nearby. Since this incident, her father-in-law and sister-in-law have accused her of hating her mother-in-law.
Do you think it was rude of her to kick out her mother-in-law? Or do you think it was a reasonable decision based on her mother-in-law’s lack of help and flexibility?
