“Hey, I distinctly remember you mooing at me and calling me fat for six-plus years and making my life [terrible]. And he was like, ‘Yeah, my bad, I was [mean], but like, I’ve grown up since then. And you’re gorgeous, and I’d love to hang out with you now,’ ” she continued.
She goes into a little detail explaining that this guy wasn’t the only person to bully her growing up, but he was one of the people to instigate others into bullying.
Rori even goes on to say that she knows that people are thinking, “Rori, you definitely told him to go [take a hike], right?”
I mean, that’s what I would do if the person that bullied me over the years of my life was trying to hook up with me. But hey, that’s just me.
“Wrong, I think I need a main character moment, and it’s going to be good for the plot. I’m going to go on a date with him. The guy who bullied me relentlessly and made my life a [nightmare] for six-plus years. But if you’re from #booktok, I don’t know what kind of Wattpad life I’m living right now, but here’s some inspiration. I’ll keep you posted,” she finished.
This was an interesting turn of events. I definitely was not expecting her to agree to go on a date with someone that terrorized her growing up. But to each their own.
