This 26-year-old guy has known two female fraternal twins, who are 22, for about 15 years. But, he only ever saw the twins at church or during church events. Given their age gap, he also never really found the twins attractive.

However, one of the twins recently had a “glow-up” and posted a pretty steamy photo online. After seeing the picture, he decided to slide into the girl’s DMs, and they have been texting back and forth ever since.

In the process, they both learned a lot about each other. Then, he realized that he was not really interested in pursuing anything romantic with the girl.

“I wanted to just become better friends outside of the church, and I haven’t made it seem any other way,” he said.

So, they wound up setting a date to just meet up, get some food, and watch a movie. It’s also crucial to note that they live four hours away from each other, and with his busy work schedule, it was necessary to plan the hang-out one week in advance.

He also made it clear to the girl that he was in no way interested in dating. That’s why, when they text, they don’t flirt with each other or anything. Instead, they just refer to each other as friends, and that’s even how he suggested meeting up for a hang-out.

“Do you want to link sometime? As friends, of course,” he had texted the girl.

Well, out of nowhere, the second twin entered the picture. The twin also DM’ed him on Instagram and claimed that before her sister could go to the meetup, there were some “conditions.”

Afterward, the second twin proceeded to ask him a ton of questions– most of which he thought the first twin could have just asked him herself.

“Are you with anyone else in any capacity at this moment? Do you tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but? Will she be touching any doors? Why do you want to go out with her? Would you believe that withholding part of the facts in any intense conversation is lying?” the second twin asked.

Now, at first, he didn’t mind essentially getting interrogated by the second twin because he knew that some siblings are just protective. Plus, he didn’t have anything to hide.

So, he answered all of the questions and was fine with it. Well, that was until the second twin’s final question threw him for a loop. She claimed that “most importantly,” if he wanted to see the first twin, then he would have to agree to buy the second twin a meal.

This not only confused him but weirded him out, especially because of what the second twin told him afterward.

“Whenever one of us goes out for a meal with a guy, this is always one of the conditions. It’s a rule and tradition that we have agreed to,” the second twin said.

This has left him feeling pretty stuck since, first of all, he would normally just say no if he didn’t know the twins.

Secondly, he’s not at all romantically interested in the first twin, which is why he doesn’t think he should even have to pay for the first twin’s meal, let alone the second twin’s meal.

“And the most disrespectful and disturbing thing about this is when I asked to have some time to think it over, she waited two minutes and said, ‘Times up,'” he revealed.

“Now, she is rushing me and making allegations, saying I’m just trying to bide my time and that I’m shameful.”

He has yet to talk to the first twin about her sister’s behavior, though. So, the girl could be completely clueless about what happened.

That’s why he is trying to be nice and respectful about the whole situation.

“But I don’t know which direction I should take,” he vented.

So, he’s now unsure whether he should go along with it and buy the twin’s sister a meal or not.

Would you also feel put off by the second twin’s questions? Does it sound like the second twin misunderstands the situation and thinks he’s romantically interested in her sister? Should he reach out to the first twin to make his friendship expectations clear?
