Two weeks after Leichia went missing, Daniel was let go from the police department for unknown reasons that are believed to be unrelated to Leichia’s case. He eventually became president of the local bricklayer’s union and has been charged with other criminal offenses unrelated to Leichia’s disappearance.
Thirty-eight years later, Leichia’s case remains open and unsolved. While police never found much solid evidence that could give answers as to what happened to her, foul play is suspected in her disappearance.
At the time of Leichia’s disappearance, she was five foot five, weighed 120 pounds, and had brown hair and brown eyes. She also had her ears pierced, a large scar on her left knee, and moles on her chest, arms, and back. She would have been 59 years old today.
If you have any information regarding her case, you are urged to contact the West Seneca Police Department at (716)-674-2280.
