Still, she made a few new friends at her new school and wanted to invite them to a pool party for her birthday, which her mom gladly agreed to. However, she didn’t have the parent’s contact information, so she sent Lily to school with invitations to hand out.
As the day of the party got near, Lily’s mom started to worry about the lack of responses. She let her daughter know so that she wouldn’t get her hopes up too high and wouldn’t be super let down on the day of her party. Still, Lily was very upset by this news and was very hurt.
“Our daughter has now been crying for like 2 hours. I have been crying. I’m so sad for her. I don’t really know what to do for her to make it better,” Lacey said.
Lacey really wanted her daughter’s birthday to be a lot better than last year, but now she’s worried that she is going to be disappointed yet again. All Lily wanted was to share her day at the pool with five of her friends.
“If you get the invitations, just RSVP yes or no or even maybe. But something is better than nothing,” Lacey directed at parents watching her video.
@momofthe5ks We as parents have got to do better. Being a parent is hard enough as it is. Trying to navigate through things like this makes it heartbreaking!!! #for #foryou #foryoupage #foryourpage #sad #heartbroken #sadstory #kidsbirthday #kids #bullyingawareness #bully #happybirthday
