She Keeps Wearing The Watch That Her Ex-Husband Got Her Instead Of The One From Her Husband, And It’s Only Fueling More Resentment In Their Relationship

This 38-year-old woman and her ex-husband, 46, have an 8-year-old son. Five years ago, her husband broke up with her after a decade of being together. Now, her ex has a girlfriend, 27, whom he shares a 1-year-old daughter with.
Despite the fact that she and her ex-husband are living their own lives, she acknowledges that he is still the father of their son.
In her view, just because their marriage didn’t work out doesn’t mean that they can’t remain friends.
She believes that it’s especially important to stay friendly because having a child together means that you will be communicating with one another forever, even if your relationship doesn’t last.
“He is very proud of our son, and a great example of that is how even though the legally mandated amount of child support would have come out to six figures a year, he gives above and beyond that to our son in the form of money and gifts, which is his love language,” she said.
Clearly, her ex-husband is quite wealthy, and she believes that this is the main reason why there is tension between her and her current husband, 38.
Her husband has constantly made remarks about how he felt like the family business of rehab facilities that her ex inherited and built upon were “full of ‘body brokers.'”
He came to this conclusion because her ex-husband’s brother had been accused of this, but it turned out that the person who made the claim was just bitter and making up lies.
Also, her husband has wondered if her ex’s girlfriend feels uncomfortable with how many gifts her ex sends.

However, she told him that her ex’s girlfriend made it clear that her ex has plenty of money, so he can spend it in a way he sees fit.
“His mom has had the gall to say that I should be more appreciative of a man who is not anti-marriage and not a workaholic like my ex is,” she explained.
“My ex sends my son and me birthday and holiday gifts. It was my birthday, and I love collecting watches. My ex bought me a gorgeous Tiffany blue and white gold watch.”
“It looks like it was crafted by a painter from the Renaissance. I’d be better off wearing a Rolex in terms of not getting robbed, and I feel that ticks my husband off more than anything.”
As a birthday gift, her husband also gave her a watch. She thought it was a great watch, and she knew it was an expensive purchase for him. However, she didn’t think it was even a question as to which watch was more beautiful.
Last month, she and her husband took a vacation to New York, and she made sure to wear the watch he gave her, but she has been wearing the watch that her ex bought her quite often.
At first, her husband didn’t seem bothered and didn’t voice any concerns about the fact that she wasn’t wearing the watch he gave her.
“My husband said nothing, but then he got upset because my ex didn’t want my son going on an upcoming trip to Vermont that he had agreed on previously and doing the hayrides and such that my husband planned because he was afraid my son would have ticks climb on him, so the trip was canceled,” she shared.
After that, her husband said that it seemed like her ex was the one calling all the shots, and it made him uneasy.
Then, he told her that he wanted her to wear the watch her ex bought her less often. It upset him that she never wore the watch he gave her, and he told her that she was “letting his gift collect dust.”
During the argument, she told her husband that the watch she received from her ex was beautiful and unique.
Her husband marched out of the house, and she later noticed that he was sobbing in his car.
She attempted to go up to him to keep talking, but he shook his head at her because he wanted to be left alone. When he did this, she was irritated.
They haven’t talked since their fight.
Do you think she was wrong to keep wearing her ex-husband’s watch?
