This 28-year-old woman has been in a relationship with a man named Jake, also 28, for three years.

The two of them met in college. She was best friends with a woman named Sarah, 28, and they met while they were in grade school.

Throughout the years, she and Sarah attended the same high school, as well as the same college. Sarah also met Jake at their school, and she actually had a crush on him right after meeting him.

However, Jake didn’t reciprocate those feelings, but he was still cordial with her. Over time, he became friends with both her and Sarah.

Jake introduced the two of them to his group of friends, and all of them got along really well. Several years later, Jake told her that he had feelings for and that he’d had a crush on her for a long time.

He asked if she wanted to go on a date with him, and she said yes.

“We began dating a few weeks after that. I didn’t tell Sarah about it yet. I was afraid she’d flip out and possibly end our friendship,” she said.

“When he and I began dating, we decided to tell Sarah and the rest of our friend group. Obviously, she wasn’t too pleased, but she told me she was okay with it. Oddly enough, she kept trying to make a move on Jake despite him and I being in a relationship.”

Every time this happened, Jake turned Sarah down when she’d ask him if the two of them could hang out without her, and he didn’t answer the phone when she’d call him late at night.

She and Jake both thought Sarah’s behavior was strange and when she asked her what was going on, Sarah claimed that she was only trying to be best friends with Jake in the same way she was best friends with her.

Throughout the last couple of years, she’s done her best to brush off the red flags. Last week, however, she couldn’t ignore Sarah’s outrageous behavior any longer.

One night, at around 8 p.m., Sarah texted her a photo that showed two positive pregnancy tests.

“I congratulated her and asked her who the father was because she wasn’t in a relationship. She told me the baby belonged to Jake,” she explained.

“I paused and felt my heart skip a beat but remembered that Jake and I hadn’t seen Sarah in two months since we were visiting his family in another state and also preparing to move to his home state.”

She informed Sarah of all of this, pointing out that it wasn’t possible for Jake to be the father of her child. However, Sarah doubled down on her claim.

She requested evidence of this, and 10 minutes later, Sarah sent her screenshots with supposed text messages between her and Jake, highlighting that they were hooking up and engaging in an affair.

“I almost laughed looking at the pictures. Despite her intelligence when it comes to graphic design, she forgot to change the phone number to make it more believable,” she shared.

“I messaged her and told her I was tired of her antics and that I’d be blocking her soon after telling Jake what she did. She said it was true and even told me that I’m being a bad girlfriend for not ‘pleasing my man enough.'”

At this, she was furious and let Sarah know that she clearly needed to seek therapy because of making up lies about a serious matter. She added that she was deranged and was obsessed with a man who was dating someone else.

Later, Sarah told all of their mutual friends, and work got back to Jake, who was horrified by Sarah’s actions. Jake is completely on her side, but their friends are divided.

Some of their friends are supporting her, while a few others have told her she’s being a jerk. These friends believe Sarah’s claim and have told her that she’s wrong to stick by her boyfriend because they think he’s a cheater.

In their view, it was too far for her to tell Sarah that she was insane because she was pregnant and she should be supportive.

While it’s true that she could show these friends the obviously Photoshopped images that Sarah had sent her, she doesn’t think that should be on her when Sarah was the one who got them involved in the first place.

She doesn’t care if she loses some of these friends due to this situation because she doesn’t value having tons of friends, and Jake doesn’t, either.

The possibility of asking for a DNA and paternity test is on the table, but she knows that, without a doubt, Sarah is lying about Jake being the father of her baby.

She has the evidence on her side to prove that Sarah made all of this up.

What advice would you give her?
