His Dad Has Been Secretly Dating His Girlfriend’s Mom, And Now They’re Making Him Feel Bad That His Girlfriend Is Technically About To Be His Step-Sister
For the last five years, this 23-year-old guy has been dating his 23-year-old girlfriend, and their relationship has been picture-perfect.
He’s completely in love with her, and she feels the same way about him. They even talk about getting married in the future, and his girlfriend is the woman of his dreams.
Now, his dad has met his girlfriend a handful of times, but he really enjoys keeping his personal life to himself.
He is close to his dad, though, and they really have no secrets that they keep from one another. Well, at least, that’s what he thought.
It turns out he was wrong, as a week ago, his dad confessed that he’s actually seeing a woman that he’s going to be marrying.
He had no idea that his dad was in a relationship, especially with a woman that he had never before heard of.
He ended up getting into an argument with his dad, as he was upset that his dad had kept this all hidden from him.
He finally stopped picking the fight after realizing that it’s ok, at least his dad is happy and trying to move on.
“My dad and his new fiancée arranged to have our families meet for the first time and get to know each other,” he explained.

“This meeting happened 3 days ago…When my dad’s fiancée’s car showed up, I immediately recognized it. By total coincidence, my dad had started dating my girlfriend’s mom, and we were about to have the most awkward encounter I have ever experienced and probably will ever experience.”
“My GF and I have dated for 5 years and have met each other’s families before, but our families had never met. When my GF and her mom walked in, it was total silence for a good 3 minutes, just staring at each other. Eventually, we started talking, and my parents just said that they loved each other and no matter how we felt, they were going to carry this wedding through.”
His dad and his girlfriend’s mom tried to make them feel bad for being in a relationship, considering they’re going to be stepsiblings a year from now.
So, he and his girlfriend are currently on a break as they sort through all of this. He and his girlfriend don’t want to give up on their relationship, but their parents aren’t making it easy.
Their parents are convinced that if they continue dating, it’s going to be viewed by outsiders as strange and taboo.
Also, his girlfriend’s mom is going to be moving into the house he shares with him and his dad soon, which is also making him upset.
“Obviously, if it was someone unknown to me that was moving in, I would never actually date my step-sister, but me and my GF were dating years before this even became an issue,” he said.
“Please, if anyone has read this far I would love to hear some opinions, and please be blunt and honest. Should I stay with the love of my life or end things?”
